Keith Barker
Keith brings I.T expertise to the board, having a wealth of experience in the design and development of computer systems and their promotion in the marketplace.
Keith's expertise was gained designing multi-company and multi-currency accounting systems for various groups of companies operating in diverse fields throughout the world including England, Spain, Morocco, Austria, and Tunisia, as well as, in many cases, carrying out a complete re-structure of the administration and accountancy procedures. Clients have included marketing companies, promotion organisations and tourist installations.
In the past, as well as the present, Keith has been an active director, controller and shareholder of various successful companies.
Keith has a great appreciation of nature and natural things of beauty as well as a healthy interest in sport in particular, in spite of some of the England teams exploits, a love of cricket. Being a shy, but courageous person when difficult decisions have to be made has resulted in Keith becoming the main sounding board for colleagues from every level in the organisation; Although Keith enjoys projecting an outwardly persona of being “Tight fisted” when it comes to money, his colleagues have seen through his facade and generally recognise him as a very warm and generous person.
Keith benefits from a very analytical mind, he likes to break every problem or challenge down into its smallest parts, analyse every aspect, form a plan and carefully reconstruct a winning situation, it has been often said that Keith ought to have been a McKinsey Consultant. He demonstrated his mind set when recently discussing the massive expansion of the Group he stated “We started out running a nice tightly compacted zoo, but its developed into a safari park”.
Keith is responsible for the design and development of computer control systems, the purchasing and implementation procedures and board member duties.
